Where Have I Disappeared TOO?? OOPS A Treasure too!

YIKES! It's a hot one here today in the burb's of Chicago!  Everyone is hiding in their houses with the air conditioning going full force! Including me... except when I go out quickly to check on a few pumpkins baking in the heat!!!  They are talking 100 here today! UGH!  Then add we've had barely had 2" of rain since May, so guess what, DROUGHT! UGH!

So where I have I been???? Well, I did that turn thing several weeks ago, you know the one the back didn't like so it put me in bed for about 10 days... All I can say is crap on a cracker!  My new saying! LOL!!! Guess where I got it from????  Anyway, when that happens, nothing happens!  So since then lots of catch up, with the house, crafing and well life!

Finally last night Hubby and I went to see our nieces play their last softball games... Yikes were is the summer going????

 Here is Ms. Rosie in her adorable pink uniform, we got there in time for her first up to bat!!!!  We watched for several innings... Then off to see Katie play....

 Perfect timing again, just in time to see Katie pitch!  She was waiting to hear if she made the All-Star team!!!  I have all my fingers crossed for her!  She hit a grand slam last week!  She has been playing very well!

So inbetween all of life's little twists.... Some pumpkins are getting created!  YES PUMPKINS! Tis the season, well at least for the creator! 

 Here is a sneek peak at one of my first "big" boys!  he is bigger then any of the pumpkins I created last year!  Love the sculpted mouth and look at that long wicked nose!  Over 6" long!!!

Oh my poor flowers... lots and lots of watering is done each day... with not a rain drop in site... many, many sighs.... for me it's just flowers, but for the farms, their livihood, no words, only hope for lots of rain very soon!

 So the one thing not happening here... No weed pulling... first to hard on the back... and it's way to dry to try and get to their roots....so some of my weeds are as tall as the flowers...LOL... Good thing  from a distance they just blend in.....

So a few putina's holding up in the heat... Though trees showing stress... some leaves starting to drop.. that will make for a ugly fall....

 Sweet Annie growing where it WASN"T planted... LOL... behind the chairs on my fake front porch... Growing so well, I am letting it keep going.....It's not a gourd tree....

Then lastly what does one do when they are laid up and bored???  Shop on line! LOL!... That needs to stop... creates a new mess.. more things that I need to part with to make room for the new..... But, I do so love my new treasures!

 Loving this new "Old" cubby that I saw in Mercantile Gatherings, in the ad from http://www.fanaticscountryattic.com/  Did you see the Article on Michelle the owner?  And her wonderful pictures... anyway in her add of goodies for sale was this cubby with all the goodies... I "needed" it?!?!!?
So I have decided to try and thin out a few things on my counter... trying to make it less crowded...it's only kinda working... and I am sure before long I will fill the open spots back up!

Then... I saw this on http://gatheringsiowa.blogspot.com/ Love this apothacary box!  Very prim, hand made... it's on my counter too...so....moving...

So I took my wire basket off the counter for now... I will find a new home for it, it's a great basket!! 

So there you have it... really a whole lot of nothing!!!!!???  I have been popping in visiting your blogs... leaving a few comments as time allows... Summer, well always busy, just not enough hours in the day to do everything... Really July in just a couples of days??? sigh... summer half over???? UGH!  So off to put some faces on a few more pumpkins!  Stay cool!!! OLM

DOLLS HOME FROM FOLK EVENTS, THEY ARE ON SALE!

 Yikes, what a week this has been!  First our computer was hacked...UGH!  so frustrating!  So, I am working off my son Steven's computer... Hubby is out of town... working on creating new pumpkins... etc.... then the back...double ugh!
ANYWAY... I was asked to participate in the FOLK Magazine events in OH, and KY.... so I sent off many of my "girls"... well it wasn't very good for my "girls"... and almost all of them came home today... But the adventures they are telling me.... LOL... First is they don't want to live here so.... I have listed almost all of them on my selling blog and have put all of them at least 25% off!!!  I don't normally put them on sale...but since there is so many of them and now I am working on fall creations... seems like the thing to do... ALL but 3 are my own designs most are OOAK'S.

Sneek Peak at My Early Works Update

WOW, a toasty one here today!  I am working on my http://www.earlyworkmercantile.com/ update for tonight.  I have 4 new creations for my update... Including Bummpy Betsy!  Oh my what have I done to this poor gal???  I think she's so ugly she's BEAUTIFUL!!!  She is a OLM OOAK Original Design.

My Swap Goodies from Amy!!!!!!

I joined in on the swap fun with Amy over at http://www.bumblebeelanecottage.blogspot.com/ for her summer Bee Happy Swap!!!!  Amy herself was my partner and she spoiled me with wonderful goodies!!!!  I couldn't wait to open up the box...so I didn't take pictures... Actually truth be told, I only took pictures this morning... With my back acting up, I am still moving slowly...anyway.... Look at my wonderful goodies...

 Not the best picture, but so many wonderful goodies!  Amy knows how I love everything child size, look at the adorable child's muffin tin, rolling pin, and tiny, tiny cookie cutters!!!! Love them.... Little dollie made my Traci at York Mountain!  Love her dolls.. Some beeswax, oh love beeswax!!!!  2 little pin keeps Amy made.... AND.... she thought I might be missing the "QUEENS" crow, so she sent me one!!!  Thank you Amy, you spoiled me and I love it all!!!

 So leaving the house unattended while laid up all week with the back... Slowly I am dusting and picking up.. Hubby did his best, but they just don't see what we see....
Anyway... I tucked my sheep beeswax on my old cash drawer and the crow tucked in front.....

 I put my lil gal with my other Traci doll in the front room......

 Tucked the pineapple beeswax with my kitchen collection of goodies on my stove board...Burning a Misi candle today.....

And, next to my child's stepback, I tucked my muffin tin, rolling pin and cookie cutters... I still need to tuck my other goodies in new homes... I will do that as I do much needed dusting!!!!

A Bit of This and A Bit Of That Rearranging

What happened to our playlists??? I had just changed up my songs a bit... then today I notice it won't play... Checked a few other blogs, same thing... sign into playlist, all changed up...sigh....So will they not work on blogs anymore? Does anyone know...???  So many changes...UGH....

Anyway slowly I have been moving things around... thinning out a few things. In years past it's seems I get fixed on one thing, next thing I know, I have 5 or 6 of one thing... Like,  I thought I had one or 2 enamel ware liquid measures... really more like 7, ugh.... LOL... I have collected so many wonderful treasures lately, that I need to thin a few of my less favorite collections....

I moved this sweet little child's farm table that I got on one of my "bags" trips a couple of years ago.. I had it up in our room... now by the front door with Lu Lu in a chair to greet you as you come in!

On the table a wonderful teddy bear from Dru at Cinnamon Creek and a wonderful basket Pam made for me from Basketsnprims!  I think it says "summer".....

Bee Sting 10 gallon crock from last week's barn sale found it's home in my kitchen!  I just love this crock!!! HEHE

Then hubby made me a couple of simple lids for some of my crocks so I could stack them.  This created more mess moving things around, but I love this collection of crocks now in the kitchen and my small collection of firkin's stacked next to it!

So, that lead to this corner in the kitchen, this was the old dinette before the addition, getting a bit of a makeover.....things have changed a bit since I took this picture....

Moved my butter mold collection into my mouse chewed up wooden bowl, love this bowl!  Everywhere on the rim is chewed up! HEHE!

Daisy's looking good... I must admit, I have not been in the yard much.  Too dry to even try and weed with next to no rain...

thankfully the flowers are bigger then the weeds at the moment...OOPS... didn't roll up the hose, well really, I never do.  I just have to pull it out again!  And, it's hard on the back... This drives hubby crazy.....

Cleaned up and organized my little pie safe... Hard to believe I took things out, then I added different collections, but it's dusted for at least the next year or two???LOL

My new little noodle board from the barn sale, with sweet little doll that Traci from York Mountain Mercantile made, pin keeps from Alecia Maynard,  Cathy from the Orange Sink and one that Angel and the Crow made several years ago.. She seems to just have disappeared, shame, she made some wonderful primitives!  Does anyone know what happened to her and her website? And of course 2 great pillows made by Pam of Basketsnprims!

I had a hard time with my new wooden measure collection... These two are big, I wanted to put them on top of my kitchen cabinets, but they hung over the cabinets.. didn't look good...sigh... changed up my peg rack for a bit too... See my child's old wheel barrel... struggled where to display this right too.  It was a Christmas gift from my GF, Cindy.  So for now, off the peg rack it is.....

This week I received a great collection of wool from Margie at the Hungry Hook Primitives.  We did a swap for wool, she wanted a Dammit doll and a pin keep... I tossed in a few other creations.  She should get her box Monday... BUT, look at all this great wool!  I need to get creating!

Lastly... this spoke to me from Robins at Millstone Mercantile.  I just " needed it" for my front door! Love it.... So really I haven't done anything exciting... Kinda lost my mojo again for crafting, need it back fast!  I just don't know where the time goes, one minute it's Monday, I feel like I blink and it's Saturday again, and I have gotten nothing done, AGAIN!, UGH!

So everyone have a Wonderful Sunday! I will be watching my boys play softball! OLM
