I love my friends! Truly I have the best group of gal pals! EVEN IF THEY STEAL FROM ME! LOL.... Now they might tell you at some time I have done it to them!??!!? OH please, not me, I say! Giggles... OH well... lets call this pay back!
So here comes my most wonderful mailman, Orrin! He bring all my boxes to the door. He was new to our route right when I was hosting the ornament swap back in November. He was laughing, "is it like this all the time?" he asked!!! OH no.... but I might from time to time get the occasional box..... Like this one from Darla...She said she was returning the "items" she might of borrowed from me! I see this box and I can't image what she might of took, oh my!

BUT... there is these nice notes...did I miss this? Oh please I miss all my goodies! LOL! Now I have to admit, I didn't not know these were missing, sigh... I usually pride myself when the gal pal's start this, I can figure out what is missing......

Not sure where I had this even! YIKES! I think it was on the drying rack hanging off the jelly cabinet? LOL

And... well this guy, I have a bunch of them tucked here and there.... NOW, I finally realize this was on top of the jelly cabinet! OH my... I can only image what the "QUEEN" has....

But why such a big box for these little items????

For this little bonus from Darla! Love it! See she sells Norwex. have you ever heard of it? It's really big in MN.... it's a company from Canada that has all environmentally friendly cleaning products, and more! She saw how many wood floors I have and how useful this would be! With all the Knuckle hair is is right! Thanks Darla! I guess I can't say anything bad about ya now! Darn! LOL

Then she added these note cards made by a local gal for my Birthday...Yes, today is the big 46! So we are going to a early dinner in a few minutes with the boys. To Jameson's steakhouse, one of my favorites! YUMMO!

Then my GF Cindy came by with this gift for me! So would you be seen in public with me?

Sorry bit scary with no make up! LOL!! I love sock monkey! Can't wait to walk Knuckles tomorrow with my new hat! Thanks Cindy!

What a VISIT! the Queen was here....and???a Surprise???

Really, what a month!!! Crazy month, month of changes, sinus infections and snow FINALLY...then RAIN with thunder... and a visit from the "QUEEN"!!! All this and it's only the 24th of the month! I am WHIPPED! LOL!!
So since probably Thanksgiving the "QUEEN" had been talking about wanting to come home for her birthday... If the weather is good...Then it didn't look like she was coming... My BIL is probably looking at rotator cuff surgery...THEN, last minute! I am coming!!! OH YA, I want a birthday party!!! Who am I to say no??? Let's try to get most of the "BAGS" together..OK... that can be done, EXCEPT Darla, who lives in MN too... everyone is within driving distance of me... and toss in a few more friends of the "QUEEN"!
So Joyce aka the "QUEEN" was scheduled to come last Thursday through Monday... We were scheduling in a few visits quickly... Her and hubby's Aunt in Racine, Wi.... and my FIL's partner/girlfriend... what do you call them at that age? Anyway she was with my FIL until he pasted away almost 2 years ago....A birthday party and hopefully a wee bit of shopping and it was a busy couple of days...
Though, as always there is a story.... There was freight train derailment in ND... so she was delay a day, wasn't sure if now the trip would be cancelled...and the AMTRAK comes from Seattle... Where all the snow was falling last week, and coming our way! LOL....So finally everything was a go...BUT she is coming Friday to Tuesday... and was about 4 hours late getting here in our snow storm... BUT she brought a little surprise with her! DARLA!!! YEAH!!! I turn to hubby and said "do you want to get a hotel room?" LOL!! So all the bags were together on Saturday. Darla had never been here before, everyone was so EXCITED to see her! The "QUEEN" thought maybe "TOO" excited!!! HEHE!!!

Queen requested many different 'foods' while here... See she is in a town of not even 500... No fast food.. no carry out.... No pizza....So for her birthday she wanted Chinese.... YUMMO!!! I didn't cook once while she was here! I need to "dry out" from eating out? LOL

AND finally... the... "QUEEN" receiving her birthday cake from Nadine and Cindy... non-bags.... yes we put a turkey on there...LOL... and we didn't have "5" so we had... 6- 4- 1... to make up 65.... work's doesn't it????

SO there you have it... a few highlights of the "QUEEN'S" trip home! What am I doing now...ugh. laundry....hate laundry.

Great surprise that Darla was able to join in the fun... Now I do believe those... witches... I mean...... ---- you know, stole from me! Yes this happens every time... It was going on Saturday night...Big joke, everyone likes to try and steal from me and see how long it takes me to figure out something is missing... Usually not long, I am happy to report.... BUT, I just noticed that my "L" block that spells out "OLM" is missing....MMMM... I forgot to check those damn suitcases! Off to figure out what else is missing....BUT what the "QUEEN" forgot is she had to leave a few things behind...Didn't fit into her suitcase.... Revenge! OLM

Happy FREEZING Thursday!!! Yikes, winter has FINALLY arrived on the 19th of January...Cold... bit of snow and even more coming tomorrow... Though I keep asking myself, how is it the 19th already? This month is flying by and I am not getting a DARN thing done... Running around in circles...
So the Queen is coming for a visit. She was suppose to come down on the train today.. But there was a derailment in ND... so she is coming tomorrow... BUT the storm in Seattle has the trains running pretty far behind schedule... This has been crazy weather.... So I should be cleaning... preparing... doing things that need to be done.. Things that have been neglected as I keep getting side tracked...LOL... So what am I doing instead??? Posting a few of my vintage goodies that I brought home from the shop....

Lastly, this super sweet snowman I created from a Netty Lacroix pattern. Hang him from a door or peg rack all season, or even all year long... Little mittens made from fabric with little snowmen heads on it... Long wool nose and holding a twig star on wire... When One Door Closes... Another One Opens...

Happy Wednesday before our first real snow day! Yup, seems we are FINALLY going to get a real snow fall tomorrow....Hard to believe when it's 50 here today.....

Anyway...no pictures today...I've been a bit MIA.... trying to process things that have happened in my business this last week... I won't go into deals, though I would love to...... This is not how I do business... Being the bigger person is hard sometimes....SIGH!.... Toss in a double ear infection and a sinus infection and 2012 is off a a great start!!?!?!?!? AGAIN, when one door closes, another will open.... Good things come to those who wait....

Few lessons I have learned recently in my business...if it sounds to be good to be true? At some point it will be.... With that being said, I consider myself a ethical person. One who can play by the rules put in front of them, as long as they don't change daily....I also believe respect is a 2 way street. I have been in business for myself for 17 years now, I have loved it, learned a lot, changed my style etc....BUT, what I have NEVER had is the level.... lets call it "creative differences" or fear of saying anything for fear it will be taken the wrong way or blown way out proportion, and walking on egg shells... as I have had with the shop I WAS in.... I won't even say the name or where.... Though it was no secret.... YUP... the ever changing "creative differences"..... crossed a line for me. Though I shouldn't of been surprised by this... If I am counting right... I am the 12th renter/dealer to have "creative differences" in about 8 or 9 months....

So with that being said, I have moved out of the that shop today... I feel RELIEF! Tired of walking on egg shells... Excited on what I might do next.... I am going back to my "roots" and focus on my primitive creations... Thinking about finally starting a selling blog or a picture trail.... Many doors open, I just need to walk through them..... AND if anyone is interested... over the next couple days...or more... as I organize the vintage and antiques that I have brought home, I will have a blog sale... I can't keep it all...So I will pass them onto all my wonderful blogging friends, if you are interested... So I don't know when I will start... need to get my newest dolls done for Lemon Poppy Seeds first... So just keep a eye out for a new post...and thanks for letting me vent for just a bit. OLM

Happy New Year! Changes...on the move!

Happy New Year everyone!!! I hope it was a great one! We had a enjoyable one and yesterday I went right to work "un-decorating" some of the Christmas. I really didn't want to...But the Tree was dry and once I started, well, I was on the roll....
I wanted to change up things in the front room. AND everyone was home today to move furniture....SO.... Here some of the ugly mess...UGH, the mess you have to make to get it back to the way it was!

So I forgot to take a real "before picture"....but here's the front room after the tree came down and the corner end table was moved...That corner end table is tough to work with. I wouldn't mind trading it in for something different, but hubby loves it...SO it stays.... sigh.... So the rug is up to wash the floor....Now the biggest problem with moving things around is....see the little bench in front of the window....That is Knuckle's to stand onto to look out the window. So that path needs to stay open! LOL

So, first I need to see things in my head, in place....Been working on this for a couple of days in the olde brain!
So here is the hubby and Alex getting ready to move the cabinet, Knuckle's is supervising...Need to be careful moving it...It's old... I believe it dates back to about 1880's...been in hubby's family the whole time!

Playing...It takes FOREVER to get things done! UGH! Alex found a wrapping paper ball...so guess what started again!?!!?!? SO all this moving, lead to other idea's for other area's....I had this little shelf, used it here and there...then really didn't have a spot for it and was just tucked up in our room....brought it back out....

Then I thought...move this...move that.... Open space, YIKES! need to fill it! LOL... Then I am trying to move more of my collections "together" instead of here or there...I think they will look better. So NOTHING is done... Everything is a work in progress... Must take it slow...You know the "BACK" UGH! So here is the shelf with a collection of yellow ware.... Very pleased with this thought! LOL.... See the little bench on the top??? That's new.... Salesmen sample of outside metal furniture! Love it!!!

So back to the front room....Here it is before with the tree up.... see the corner end table???

After with the mess...or work in progress... Cabinet in it's place...more needs to be done, MUCH MORE. But I feel good at my start. So little by little I will get everything in it's place.. Will show more once it's done....

BUT... what I hate is the things that get "displaced" and need a new home...Then finding that new home...UGH.... Like this.... The wine collection... You know I need that to help with the fruit loop crap! It's only the 2nd and she's at it again! Just makes one want to scream... OH well....

So where am I going to put this???? Don't know yet.... But I will figure it out!

So looking ahead to 2012, there is many things I hope to accomplish...I was thinking about all of this over the weekend... and back on 2011 etc.... There was much to be grateful for! Many wonderful things happened...

Here is a few highlights... Blessed to have our home used as a product shoot for Country Sampler. Few of the "girls" published in PRIMS! Started selling my creations and antiques at the Primitive Chick in Dekalb..(that's been great for selling a few of the collections that I haven't been as attached too) Both boys graduating college! YIPPEE!! Even with the back issues, Life is good!

Looking ahead... I really need to learn how to do more on the computer! Truly I just barely get by! I can't even re-size my photo's! I know, what a loser!!! LOL....Yes, I will learn this year! I will learn excel better and get the business organized! Learn to use my touch pad better! again clueless! Organized the craft stuff better! Most importantly, REMEMBER TO ENJOY THE SMALL STUFF BETTER! Here's to a wonderful 2012! I wanted to thank everyone so much all wonderful comments everyone leaves!!!! Please know, even though I don't email you, I read each one and appreciate them so much! OLM

WOW!.... that's all I have... here comes 2012!?!?! Ready or not....

Wishing everyone a wonderful and safe New Year! Just where has this year gone?

It's been a rough one, adjusting to mom's passing...Things the "fruit loop" sister seems to pull every couple of weeks...the back issues....and just living. No matter what I am blessed and have no reason to complain, even if it happens at times.. So here's to a wonderful 2012 and all it has to offer! So sadly I guess it's time for the "un-decorating". Now, usually I don't take my tree down until the Epiphany, the coming of the three wise men on the 6th of January....BUT...this year we have a real tree and well...it's dry, dry, dry....so tomorrow it comes down. Even though hubby is fighting me on this....And hubby just came in from taking the outside lights down too...DOUBLE UGH! Hate it! It's sooo dark then...BUT....since we have barely had even 2 inches of snow so far...AND for outside of Chicago, that is unheard of. Timing couldn't of been better to get it down, so down it came...Though I did leave my one wire snowman with white lights out...He will stay out until February. He doesn't look "Christmasie" and then I have a bit of light out in all that dark....Then out will come more snowmen.. I like to still have a bit of winter around for a bit....PSSSSS...see my wonderful "winter white" basket from Pam??? Love this basket! And a few goodies from Mary at a primitive homeplace too!

So off to put some of the outside stuff away! Again, have a most Wonderful New Year!!! OLM

Christmas 2011--just a memory now....

Happy Tuesday after Christmas everyone! I hope everyone had a most wonderful Christmas!! No matter how far behind I might of been running.... everything went well and no one was the wiser, except the piles of "stuff" dumped in the laundry room!!! LOL...

As always, building up to Christmas in my family there seems to be issues...UGH! To say I was not a happy girl on Friday would be a understatement...BUT again, in the end everything worked itself out and went great! BUT.... I did start off with a little wine! Bottoms UP! LOL AHHH...the calm before the invasion of family....LOL....

Everything in it's place, once Joey gets here, that won't be the case....she like to rearrange the front room....giggles!

Oops...out of order here... the opening of presents, Joey, William, Katie and Rosie were such a hoot! The minute Joey came, she was like..."can we open presents now???" 3 year old's at Christmas...the excitement, so much fun! Here's William's noisy sword we got him, my brother playing with it....UGH! that thing was NOISY! Glad to see that one go home! Giggles!

So there you have it...just a few highlights from Christmas at the Morgan homestead. Good times was had by all, especially the kids. Now the cleaning, taking the decoration's down... Though just not yet, I hate it once all the lights and everything are gone...It seems so stark....

I will have to show off a few new goodies next time. My GF's and I always go out the day after Christmas, not to the mall , but the smaller shops... Heaven knows I didn't need anything... No Christmas decorations were purchased, I have so much...BUT, I did get few new prims... but for another time for those! Happy New Year, wow 2012 is almost here!!! OLM

I have been such a bad blogger.... Where did the time go???... Looking back at Thanksgiving, I thought I have PLENTY of time... I had started shopping....some decorating... ordered my Christmas cards! I am on schedule! This will not get away from me? NOT! UGH!
So what happened? I swear I woke up and lost at least a week! Everyday this week, I needed to blog! SO many THANK YOUS need to be said... sigh.....tis the season....
Oh well it is what it is.... To all my wonderful blog friends that sent me cards, THANK YOU! I was going to send some out to you this week... but what week? I am sorry! BUT... I did get some baking done...slowly, to not piss off the back. Something I didn't get to do last year, more because of the back and the herniated disc that I didn't yet know I had....anyway.....most presents are wrapped and under the tree. I have just a wee bit of running around to do tomorrow, sauce to make for the lasagna for Christmas Eve that I always make...So it's here! Merry Christmas! Have a glass of wine and enjoy! It's about the gathering of friends and family ( even if my dad won't come, ugh! won't even go into that)
So going back to Monday, hubby is out running errors with me. He does all my lifting and such, YIPPEE!!! I come home to many boxes on the porch! WHOOSERS!!!! Few Christmas presents from the "Queen" and swap box from Margie@ Hungry Hook Primitives...AND a box from Tammy @ A Primitive Place!?!?!?!?!? What???? On the box it just said "because" Oh my!!! I am surprised, Merry Christmas to me!!! LOL!!! What did I do to deserve one her "RAK" Random acts of kindness!!???? So I ripped it open and fell in love! Just look! THANKS SO MUCH TAMMY! Little note to me and a most wonderful prim doll, LOVE HER! She is sitting on my love seat in the front room right now. She is right at home! Adorable little prim plate ornie and 2 battery operated tapers, I so love these!!!! Need to buy stock in batteries, I use them everywhere! Again, Tammy, you have such a big heart! Thank you!!!!!!

Box #2, boy I am spoiled! Like I said Margie and I did a quick little swap and this is what she sent me... So love rug hooking. I have tryed it a bit. Really need to spend more time doing it. So appreciate all the time it takes to do a rug, LOVE THEM!!!

So I got not one but TWO rugs! Snowflakes for the winter and a great American one for the whole summer season! AND a bunch of wool! YIKES!!! Love it and all the creating I can do with that!!! Thanks sooooo much Margie!!!!!

So here is the home for the snowflake mat... see all the upside down letters... That is from my little "elves" that where here a couple weeks ago for the ornie exchange... still finding many things, just not right! LOL! OH the fun!!!!

Some baking today... did the cut out cookies. Every one's most favorite. Hubby's mom was the best at making cut outs.... I give it my best college try!

VIRGINA!!! Is going HOME!

Happy Saturday everyone! We woke up to a bit of Snow FINALLY! Feels at bit like CHRISTMAS! FINALLY! So turn up your volume, listen to my favorite version of Santa Claus is coming to Town, while reading this post!HEHE...

So much to do, today, I need at least another week before Christmas, not 8 days! But Virgina has been a bit crabby! Really kinda...B$$#*y! LOL! She wants to go home for Christmas.....SO..... I used random generator...I couldn't get the picture to save...Don't know what I was doing wrong... so you guys are just going to have to "trust"me! LOL.... So I had to adjust the numbers... couple of posting had a blogger mishap and posted several times... etc... Thanks so much to everyone playing along... Those that did the extra post! I loved reading them all! So wish I could send everyone something this Holiday season...but... I know... I can't.... so here is the Magic number! 19 !!! Stephanie from Front porch Primitives!!! Virgina would like to come live with you! I will be emailing you and try to get her off to you today!!!
Now.. For just a quick meaning of the season for me! Little ONES!!! They get so excited! So much fun to buy for! My boys, well at 21 & 23...They tell ya what they want...not much of a surprise there... My mom loved Christmas and giving gifts...She was a bit over the top! My brother is the only one now that has younger kids. It saddens me that his twins where only 2 when she pasted away and won't know her.... BUT..anyway, this week I got to go see William and Joey Christmas Pageant! Oh the memories... Joey was a Angel..Though lately she behaves more like a little devil... You might be able to see her little horns holding up that Halo! LOL.. And William one of the Three Wise Men! Adorable!

For me one of the meaning of the season!

Their sisters stay home to see them at the play, Rosie and Katie the last of our clan that is NOT teenager's or older. It goes by so fast! Enjoy! Merry Christmas! OLM

WOOSZERS!!! The most busiest time of the year! Not enough hours in the day to get everything done....running, running....BUT, I took a few minutes to slow down, have a few gal pals over for my 10Th annual ornament exchange! 10 years, I can't believe I have been doing this for 10 years! So much fun, to get everyone together for a little holiday cheer before everything gets so crazy.... So this past Sunday there was 13 of us for fun and laughs and a ornament exchange! LOOK OUT! LOTS OF PICTURES OF EVERYTHING! OF course Knuckles first had to check out the packages to see if there was anything hiding in there for him. Sadly, no, not today Knuckles!

I need a bigger front room! LOL!!! Everyone is good sports and all want to gather around the tree....

So, we play the steal game... have you ever done that? Everyone draws numbers... the higher the number, the better... You can steal from someone who has already opened a "ornament" but they can't steal after they have been opened a ornament or been stolen from...That person has to pick from the unopened...Every year there seems to be one person that is stolen from multiple times! LOL.... This year my SIL in Michelle! LOL

Few pictures around the homestead... This is our 1st year having a real tree for our main tree... Bit smaller then my artificial one, so that means less ornies on the tree... But it looks great, I think.....

Then Saturday I had a few surprises in the mail! OH my... Few blacken beeswax ornies and a stocking from Lil Raggedy Angie! So sweet! I love blackened beeswax! Can't get enough of it! Love it! Thanks Angie!

Also... Linda Claus sent me a gift! Look at these sweet little stitched pillows! Love them! perfect!!! Linda is a doll, and so generous with everyone in blog land with her creations! thank you Linda!!!!

Now, I have a bit of a story... Every year during my ornament exchange... it seems a few of my friends...lol...like to do things to the homestead... The last year my mom was alive and here... she got everyone to "steal" something to see if I could tell what was missing... YES! I can tell!!! Mom loved to start trouble!

Quick Hello! And Here's my new Cabinet!

Oh my! I am getting NOTHING done fast! Love this time of year, but it seems to go by so fast and just not enough hours in the day to get everything done! Everything is still such a mess here.... decorating pretty much done... some "things" need to find new homes until after Christmas...Need to get that all put away...UGH! Then I managed to slice my thumb open pretty good! Just what I needed, something to slow me down... Thought for sure I would need stitches, but I didn't....But couldn't use my thumb for a couple of days...Trying buttoning jeans without your thumb! It takes work....LOL.....Anyway..... I have a story...Don't I always?LOL

So there has been this great step back cabinet over at the Primitive Chick, where I sell my creations and some antiques. Anyway, I can't believe it's been there all summer.. OH how I loved it so! BUT...no room...nothing I am willing to part with...so I just drool....UNTIL....last week I was in taking new stock in... AND...someone has come in wanted just the top shelves... Willing to pay to get them...Just what she was looking for....So that left the bottom part... Which in my opinion, the best part! Again, no place for it...I won't say what I really said...But you get the idea.....BUT!!! I kept thinking, and thinking....then it came to me....It's just what I needed...HEHEHE...NOW I just needed to convince hubby....MMMM...So I went to work on him! It will work! It will be PERFECT!!! he was not convinced, but I got it for a Christmas/birthday present!!!! Here is the basic black TV stand/center that held our TV...ICK! Not prim at all...but it worked....Until it came to me.....

NOW!! Doesn't this look 10XS better! So much more prim!!!!??? Holds everything with room to spare...he had to cut a new hole in the back for cables, but who cares... Just open the door when we need the DVD player....

I am thrilled with my thought! It works...love the colors... 3 different layers of paint chipping off in places! I oiled it up good today...Needs a little repair to one of the doors... but, otherwise just what I was looking for, I just didn't know it at the time! LOL!

I have been missing everyone! Trying to catch up with every one's blogs... Got to several today..Love seeing every one's decorating! I will catch up more tomorrow! It's a wonderful Life is on... I have never seen it all the way through...I think it's time! OLM

Busy, Busy, Busy.... But we took time to cut our tree

Oh how I love, and yet hate this time of year! There is just not enough hours in the day to get everything done or a "back" willing to let me get it all done! UGH! I don't know about you, but I need to put many of my prim treasure's away to make room for Christmas decorating. What does that make? ONE BIG MESS! UGH!!! Though I am going through some of my decorations, it I haven't used it in the last couple of years or it's not may taste anymore...Look out goodwill! Of course I put to much pressure on myself to make everything "just right"... well, this good old back won't let me do that these days...sigh.... so slowly but surely I am getting things done...

1st... we decided to "down size" our Christmas tree. I have a wonderful "fake" tree... Very large and looks real... But I decided this year... a smaller tree would be better... yes, that means less of my ornaments can be used...oh well... So we decided to get a real tree... We have only done this once before, when we were under-construction 2 years ago and had no place for our tree....
Anyway, we wanted to cut down our tree like we did 2 years ago. We went with our neighbors and had a blast... Hoped to do it again this year... But all our kids schedule's conflict. So we found a local tree farm and off we went this AM... in between rain drops! Family shot! Both boys were able to go today, another reason to go and get a tree... 2 years ago Alex was away at school and couldn't go with us....

Finally, we found just the right tree.... bit smaller then our "fake" tree... 1st we had to get the birds nest out....Steven trying to help Alex! NOT!

OK... really we will take it out 'nice" now.... Oh those boys.....

Now I have to tell you.... I am paying for the tree and some "greens" for my buckets outside... I turn around... and what are all 3 boys doing??? Playing with a 6 month old puppy that needs rescuing....OH SIGH!!! OH NO!!!! What a great sweet puppy... 6 months old...part lab, part border collie... Boys start whining... yes at 21,23 and 55, they still whine...SIGH! Knuckles needs a play mate.... she needs a good home, AND yes she does...BUT.... I don't know... oh the guilt....I am all for rescuing! Knuckle's is a rescue dog... But, I personally like one dog at a time... and Knuckle's sometimes has difficulty with other dogs because he has been attacked a couple of times on our walks and he has no alpha-dog to help him with that. So, I said a painful no... and I have not heard the end of it! I am sure she will find a very loving home very soon!

So more pictures later, the tree is up and decorated, but I am tired, I hurt and everything is such a mess... Happy decorating everyone! OLM

1. Jackie Girl... Simple prim doll holding a primitive snowman. She has been put through my grungy process, sanded several times. She is about 21 inches long with dark brown wool for her hair. Simple homespun skirt and a old baby's t-shirt that I grundied up for her top. Just take the snowman out of her arms and she can stay out all year. (click on the pictures to make them larger, or email me with any questions! ) Asking, $44.00 and $5.95 travel fare 2. Jack the Snowman... Great primitive snowman for the whole freezing season! Grungied up, painted white, boots and mittens I painted black, then I sanded him several times. Wool behind little white buttons for his eyes, wool mouth and a fleece scarf and wool scraps bunched up to create buttons on his belly. Look at his nose, about 3 inches long made from orange wool. Jack is about 22 inches long and would love to come home to live with you for $33.00 and $5.95 travel fare

3. Simply Frosty, He is about 23 inches long from the top of his little black felt hat to his painted boots. He has a little pouch holding a battery operated taper candle. I hand-stitched on his facial details, long orange wool nose and a fleece scarf. Frosty can be yours for $40.50 and $5.95 travel fare.

4. Just a simple sweet primitive snowman. I created him from a wonderful Netty Lacroix pattern. He is meant to hang from a door, peg rack, etc... Long night shirt is made from grungy warm and natural. Black felt hat, orange wool nose and hand stitched facial details. He has simple little mittens on his twig arms and he is holding a twig star from a stick. he can be yours for $29.00 and $5.95 travel fare.

5. Simply Gingerbread man.. He is about 13 inches long, great to tuck in a bowl, hang from a peg rack or your tree. He has been painted brown, grungied up and sanded. Allspice for his eye's and scrap fleece for his scarf. Asking $14 and $2.50 travel fare

7. Oh I love her!!! Pictures just do do her justice! Hazel the night blinded Angel. Poor Hazel, she has bumps on her head from flying into to walls every night. Her eyes are barely hanging on, well she has lost one altogether.... It's hard to see, but she has wings attached to her back. She is holding a battery operated taper to guide her way, but it really doesn't help! She has a bit of raw flax tucked in between her two bumps for hair. Hazel doesn't scream Christmas, she can stay out all year. Hazel can be yours for $48.50 and $5.95 travel fare

8. Better NOT POUT Virginia!!! I so love her too!! Look at that goofy head!!! It is over 10 inches wide! Hand-stitched pouty mouth, eye's that are stitched closed as if she has been crying. She is holding a prim stocking with pipe cleaner candy canes and a little prim flag saying "better not pout Virgina". This can be removed so she can sit out all year! Well...there is life and sometimes it has other plans....sigh....I wanted to do a a little sale today, try to mail off before the Holiday... But it's just not going to work out...It really is such a crazy time! Bad time really to try a sale... But I do have several things done... and a few more to finish up tonight....so tomorrow, about 4 pm, if you have a moment to peek.... Blog sale... What Does 2 BIG kids and Knuckles do with a leave pile??

Is anyone else having problems uploading pictures to blogger??? This took so many tries on and off all day.... SO, I lost track on my order that I wanted them in.....oh ....well...
Today was a true late fall day...overcast, chilly, and still outside chores that needed to be done...Finally this week the last of the leaves fell off the trees in back.... So hubby and Alex raked them up this morning....AND of course boys being boys.... They decided to play hide and seek with Knuckles.... So here's hubby getting ready to bury Alex in the leaves...LOL... Alex has a squeaker from one of Knuckle's toys with him.......

So Knuckle's hears the squeaker.....mmmm...where is it coming from?????

OHHH...NOOO.... Knuckle's a bit scared...poor dog...all in good fun..... Really Knuckle's loves to play hide and seek.... hubby and puppy do it a lot....

Knuckle's looking for his toy that got tossed in...What he found was Alex's hat that he lost in there! So a fun morning for all the "children"! LOL.......

So, I wanted to show ya something...Boy the QUEEN is giving me grief! I tried to tell her, I didn't want to show her... I knew she would want it.... BUT!!! I really love it....See Friday night was a prim/antique sale that one of my friend's have every year... Always great stuff... I found many treasures....BUT, I knew right away I wanted this for my counter... would have to clean it up a bit to make it work...take a couple of things off to make room! BUT, the problem is the QUEEN loves olde wire baskets....SIGH.... I should give it to her....BUT......

Look at it on my counter!!!! It will look even better someday when I have those wood counters!

SEE!!!! it was a must have!!!! I told her, I didn't want to send her a picture...BUT she insisted...now I keep getting "NASTY" emails from her! LOL.... WELL...Come get it QUEEN! Until then it's on my counter! HEHEHEHE

So I am trying to finish up a few goodies for a blog sale... I really wanted to do it this weekend...BUT.... I cleaned, played with new treasure's, started a bit of Christmas decorating... I usually don't start this early, but with my back, everything takes forever...so better to do a little at a time..... ANYWAY... I am shooting for Tuesday late afternoon, probably early evening... Swap Ornies! More Ornies..and Lemon Poppy Update....

First I want to thank everyone for the wonderful and kind comments about my mom and the one year of her passing... I have to say this date was harder for me then I thought it would be... A year.. so long yet over in a blink...Thank you all my blogging friends, those comments meant so much!
I think everyone has received their ornament swap box from my swap???!!! If you haven't please email me... I have been seeing every one's post's and thought it was time to get mine up! It has been a stressful week... the one year and I won't go into details but my best gal pal had surgery yesterday...stressful.. we knew going in it wasn't cancer, but it was going to be s difficult surgery.. it was going to go one of 3 ways, good, not good, and really not good... I am happy to report, it was a long one, but it went good!!! Best it could of gone! WHOO!!!HOOO!!! So after this I am going up to visit her for a bit... Every ornament was wonderful! Delightful! I wanted one of each, as would everyone! HEHE... I didn't have a plan when I split them up... I had notes on the boxes how many for each... I and just started pulling. So everything was random. I so hope everyone is happy and I would do it again!

Remembering MOM.....

It's hard to believe it's been a year mom, since you pasted away from cancer... A year with no phone calls.... tell me something exciting bitchy girl... Mom... my "ugly" dolls did get published!
A year of her not speaking her mind... So many changes in this year. The ugly side of family comes out... I won't go into it, yet I have to admit the level of disrespect my "fruit loop" sister has shown has even shocked me at time... A mom who gave her everything....sigh... it's been a difficult year for my brother and I.....

How do I remember her... Just like you see her, giving me the finger...always hating her picture take...a year.....life goes on, it has it's up and downs... Everyone goes through it at some point, sadly...

Mom, I wish for you peace, you had a tough life! I realize what a "buffer" you were to so much.. Cold day here! Snowed like a blizzard for like 5 minutes, so not ready for that yet! I completely forgot that tomorrow is a federal Holiday, so there is no mail.....HEHEHEHEHEHE.... iI am feeling wicked all of a sudden... with no mail tomorrow...no ornament swap boxes....HEHEHEHEEHEHE Well... most should get them on Saturday then..... BUT! I snapped a couple of pictures when I was separating them all out.... So I am teasing... one might be able to see what some of them are...!?!?!!?!? First, I have to say, My mailman loves me!!!! LOL!!! He is new to our routine... and so many boxes lately! LOL...He was like yesterday "is it like this all the time???" NO! I said, BUT, I am funding your retirement! LOL! So most of the boxes are here for the ornament swap! I am waiting on one more, should get it tomorrow.. I had several that had to drop out because of being under the weather...sigh...they will be missed, but when you don't feel good, the last thing one feels like doing is crafting.....

Speaking of crafting... I was a busy gal yesterday...I have been trying to take it a bit easy..the back has been angry lately...another sigh...I am beginning to think the nerve burning in the back might be wearing off...UGH!....Anyway... I had talked before about having so many body parts just waiting to be put together and get their details.... So that is what I worked on yesterday and will today...OH my talk about the rain we are getting today.....great day to stay in and work....

This designing is taking more time...Really it's easier to work from a pattern, BUT, to create my own designs is so rewarding!...So these gals will get either a little snowman or gingerbread for the Holiday season, that can come out of their arms after the Holidays and stay out all year.... Look at those faces.... Hubby calls them UGLY!! I say adorable!

Clothes hanging out on the line yesterday, hoping they would dry...but NOPE! To chilly... off to the oven they went....

Oh the boxes...This has been so much fun, this ornie swap I hosted... here is a tease of the boxes waiting to be split up and sent back! how lucky am I to see all the WONDERFUL ornaments first! All who participated, you won't be disappointed! They are wonderful. I am hoping I will get to them tomorrow and Thursday after I work in the shop... In the Mail Friday is my goal! Love the sweet little wool pillow... looks great with the acorns and gourds.... now look at that bowl... so prim! I got it a awhile back at the folkart show in St. Charles, IL... It has been so chewed up by mice... Of course I love it, hubby thinks I am nuts....LOL

Happy November 1st!!! I can't believe it's November!?!?! Where does the time go??? So today we were blessed with a wonderful 60 degree day today! There won't be many, if any more of these!
I was busy cleaning up some Halloween decorations, and craft painting outside while I could today! A great day... rain tomorrow...BUT at least it's not SNOW! OH! the poor east coast! That is snow one gets in January, not October! UGH!!!!
So for Halloween we always set up the fire pit out front, wait for the trick or treater's and trick or DRINK for the adults! Hubby and I started doing this when the kids got old enough to go out on their own... We would sit and wait, neighbor's would join in. It's like the last hurrah before winter sets in....Always a good time.... So here's hubby about 3pm yesterday getting the fire started... Knuckles of course looking on....

As night set in...We really don't get many trick or treater's anymore...sigh...So love seeing all the kids dressed up... We really get more teenagers then anything....

My brother's family stopped by for a "drink" and they were all decked out as the Wizard of Oz....

TOO! CUTE! William comes up to me... I am like "oh NO not the flying Monkeys!!!" He's so cute... he's like Auntie "RE" It's me William!!! LOL

AND THEN..... Hubby and I were off to a estate sale last Saturday... I am looking around... looking for goodies to resell at the shop... I walk right past. something... Hubby' s like... turn around and look.....

at this chair!!! LOL!!!!! OH my really???? another one???? though a single and not a love seat we got back in July...BUT, it was a must have item... Looks great in the front room with the love seat one too... NOW did I think to take a picture to show off both of them?!?!!? NOPE! blond moment! Forgot! UGH!

You can kinda see the side of the love seat in the back ground... ( I don't know if anyone remembers the story of the goose neck love seat... we got it from a estate sale in July I think...very funny story... I did blog about it..) then between the 2 chairs, see all the "body" parts waiting to be put together.... sigh... so much to do, so little time to get it all done! What a day we are having here! I can't believe I am inside creating snowmen! Really, it's like 70 here today! We had some rain this morning but that has cleared off... So here it is the 25Th of the October, and 70 degrees, WOW!! I still have geraniums and morning glories blooming!!!!
But... OLM must finally get a start on her holiday creating... I am SOOOOO behind schedule here... Gone 5 days on my girls trip.... coming home and getting sick for 10 days, UGH..... Holiday open house at Poppy Seeds in Genoa in 10 days.... My fingers are going to be sore for sure!!! I have been getting a bunch of painting done outside...but no details done on anything until today! So here is my first new OLM original designs for the season! Love the snowman head with the old pipe!!! So what should I name him??? Then the 2 snowmen dolls... I have 3 more sets of "parts" to be put together for a total of 5 of these guys, then that will be it for them and onto something different... I am also working on my ornaments for the ornament exchange I am hosting... I have even gotten a couple boxes!!! Loving them all! So for everyone that as signed up..... time is closing in on getting them to me too! YIKES!!! Everything is coming fast!!!

Tuesday Display Chain-- Autunn at the Table

Misi has us working for this one! Love it! Gets the old brain cells thinking in this olde brain! Autumn at the table... So come on over have some hot apple cider with a bit of rum and some homemade pumpkin bread. One of my favorite things to bake in the fall.... Today is a perfect day for something warm, fresh pumpkin bread out of the oven.... Only I baked the bread Sunday... Hoping this loaf would last... Dare boys..... woke up this morning to it already cut into....oh well....

I am not completely sure where this recipe came from. It is my favorite of all pumpkin bread recipes and it makes A LOT!!! 3 loafs! Or one 13x9 and one loaf pan.....

Preheat your oven at 350...baking time approx. 1 hour....

3 1/3 cups flour

3 cups sugar

2 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp cinnamon

1 1/2 tsp nutmeg

1 cup oil

4 eggs

2/3 cup water

2 cups canned pumpkin

Grease 3 loaf pans.... Sift all dry ingredints together in your mixing bowl. Make a well in the middle. Add remaing ingredients and mix until smooth. Pour into pans and bake until a toothpick comes out clean! Enjoy!

I am finely feeling a bit better today... Not a 100%, but enough to look around and see I need to clean AND finally play with a few of my new treasures from my trip last week!!! How is it a week has already past????
So this isn't everything...sigh... scary..... I did get a bunch of vintage stuff to go with my doll creations... So I am not going to show you all of that.... Though, Maggie in the previous post... Her dress is made from a piece of vintage fabric or curtain that I got... Wish I had more......

Anyway.... We went to Yore Country Home in Gotham, WI.... I got this sweet colonial lamp... thought it would look great on top of my pie safe.....

I think it fits right in......I can tell hubby I have "always" had it! Giggles!!!!!

This new table square in Tomah, it's Family Heirloom... Had never seen this pattern before... perfect for the blue and yellow kitchen... I love that it's 2 layers, so it's reversible!!!!

Few more goodies... several the FHW squares, love them... great tucking here and there, and they are CHEAP!!! So one can get too many???? Also, a couple of fun tinsel garlands, thinking ahead to....well...you know... I don't want to say it yet!!!!!

Great old tote... I have some thoughts for this... sometimes it's so hard to use totes just right...So I might not put it out until after....well....you know..... Then there's that sweet little child's toy stove... one of my "fave's".... I have collected several vintage child/doll house size goodies... I need to find the "perfect" stop for a little display..... Then the vintage plastic Santa in the sleigh....

Great little crock pitcher... super sweet.... not sure where that's going yet..... I have been cleaning.. collecting up a couple of "items" to thin out just a BIT.... that will go to the shop to sell....Never easy to part with anything... But as my taste changes and leans more primitive... there are things that just aren't my "fave's" anymore... I am so lucky to have a outlet to sell them at.....anyway.... you don't need the details on that stuff....lol..

AND THEN THERE IS THIS....Are you ready!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!

YUP! My Lamp!!! I love it!!! It is just what I was looking for!!! it's PERFECT!!! Love, Love, Love it!!!!!

So there is more little stuff... some old buggy wheels to do something with....Several presents bought for...well... you know....Couple of little enamelware pieces... one was a little strainer spoon, and a little measuring cup that measures tsp & tblsp.. .... So there you have it... This is how I managed to spend all my money! So I would call that a good trip! Off to clean up a bit more...then really, I need to start crafting, I am SO far behind...for...well you know! OLM

It's another wonderful day here in IL!!!! All is going to change, rain is coming and a end to our above average temperatures....It's been a great run! It also made for wonderful weather for the "bags" trip! Still feeling crappy today, but a small price to pay for a great girls trip!!!! The "official" bag mobile! Fits all 6 of us and holds many, many goodies!!!! What will the bags do if Kathy says we are not able to use it anymore.....
So Thursday we back tracked at bit to Gotham Wi... To YORE country home! Oh my! 4000+ square feet of primitive HEAVEN!!!

They were starting to get ready a bit for Christmas...Now there is a ugly word?!?!!?

Here I am goofing off, of course..... right outside the shop... Later this week I will share all my goodies...once they are cleaned up and found a new home..... Did I mention I left 3 men and a dog alone for 5 days????

OK... Wednesday Afternoon we all met in Tomah, WI... At the Marketplace, another wonderful shop! We even went back on the way home on Sunday to give them the last of our money!!! Come home with money!?!!?!? PLEASE!

So there is a story with the "red truck" it's a "bags" thing! and the shut up, a joke between me and the "Queen"... On the back it said "dethrone the Queen"....hehehe... not really...

Queen and Darla always show up with some type of getup.... Look at those wigs and they are not afraid to come into the shop and shop with them!!! Such a HOOT!!!

Many jokes take place.... Queen duct taped to her bed.... HEHEHE!!! Rubber coach roaches everywhere.... rubber mice.....candy cigarettes.... these are the things I can tell you about....grown women acting like children!!!! It is wonderful!!

Saturday we went to Augusta Wi, to the meadow view barn sale!!! OMG!!! this was WONDERFUL!!! So many goodies, and at WONDERFUL prices too!!!!!

Darla already with something I wanted.... missed out! sigh! can't have everything! I should of stole it! Like that hasn't been done before too! Don't worry we always give it back, in time!

Fall foliage, oh my favorite part of fall.... I could of posted picture after picture!!!! What is it about fall???
Misi has us thinking in our month long theme's for fall. If you haven't seen Misi's blog, stop by over at www.1890gablehousemusing.blogspot.com, you will love her blog!!! So as so many of you know, I was gone on my "bags" trip last week! Great time, oh some wonderful color! I took many pictures that I wanted to share, but blogger wasn't up loading my picture's...sigh... so just a tease!! I will post more about my trip throughout the week! I will just say we had a great time and I came home with NO money! HEHEHEHE

I really don't know where we were at...some back road outside of La Crosse.... Of course in a car full of women, someone had to go... Darla said, nicest outhouse she has ever been in! And such a great back drop!

I was shocked yesterday at the change in just a couple of days around home! So many trees turned and dropped their leaves while I was gone! I so love the smells of fall! Love walking through the fallen leaves! Yes, I am a dork! LOL....

Tuesday Display Chain!!!

It's week 2 in Misi's month long fall theme's for the display chain! This week... Pick your color, chose 2... black, orange, green, or white.... One display...... So I thought about this all week... looked around... what did I want to do...??? Trying to plan ahead a bit... I am leaving bright and early tomorrow.... So I was trying... again...trying! to be organized!!! So.... Here it is.... BUT.... really I have all 4 colors in one display!!! ??? Did I break the rules... or get bonus points??? HEHEHE.... just kidding....

I was hoping this would of turned out better last night... Top of my pie safe in kitchen... I have a little "white" tree I got a couple of years ago...Love it... I leave it out all year, change it up for the season's along with the lights....So the orange lights not showing up as nice as I hoped....

So here it is in the daylight.... few witches tucked in both "green" and "black"....

Orange goofy Jack... I have said it before, I really don't keep my own work... Much rather have someone elses. Why I don't know..... BUT this guy spoke to me... so I kept him!

Then the far end of the pie safe... Love this little child's chair I found this summer!!! So it's a simply display... many of my favorites and all the most perfect colors of fall!!!

I also wanted to thank everyone for all their WONDERFUL comments they left about my dolls being published in PRIMS magazine! It meant so much, thank you! I didn't realize how bitter sweet it would be with mom gone. BUT that's life and I know she was smiling!

So on that note.... I am OUT OF HERE!!!! Bright and early tomorrow morning! Meeting the "QUEEN" and Darla in Tomah, WI!!!! Looks like we will have wonderful weather! I am sure I will have a few stories to share... and a few that I can't!!! LOL!!!

WOOSZERS! Two posts in one day!!!! BUT I had to share!!!! FINALLY! I got my PRIMS magazines! Don't know where the first set went.... BUT here it is!!! YIPPEE!!! Did ya hear me scream in excitement at the my postal gal??? Hubby claims I laid a egg in the front yard... from excitement...Funny, funny man???!?!!?!?!? I have to say I have had only a couple minutes to go through the magazine... So much to see! I will read it cover to cover tonight! I like to read before I go to sleep!!!
I am so HONORED and BLESSED to be a part of this! To think a few of my "goofy" gals as hubby would say, made it into the magazine... AND after reading the letter to the editor and all the dolls on "hold" waiting to get in...I am lucky to have made the cut! I was part of that "hold" this has been almost a year in the making...to the day... when I was contacted to send the dolls to be juried. WOW! It was one of the last "fun" things I told my mom before she passed away, that I was going to be in the magazine... Thought of her today, wish I would of been able to share this with her....sigh....

OOPS... I have never had that happen before... sideways... sorry about that!

Thanks so much for peeking... Now decisions on what to do with the "gals" I have already sold Libby... to Robin at the Cranky Old Crow... Do I keep them or send them off to other homes??? Decisions.....

If you love all things primitive... It's not always the easiest magazine to find on the newsstands, and a bit spendy at $15... but so wonderfully put together and so much eye candy! Worth every penny! Happy DAY! OLM

WHAT a BEAUTIFUL! DAY!!! FINALLY! Sun is out finally... very few clouds in the sky! NO RAIN!!! After 6 days of rain, finally a much needed break!
I spent some time finishing up my fall /Halloween decorating... cleaning after the STY called pumpkin creating... OOPS... already made new messes... Why even bother??? I always start a new mess.....
So a quick tour of a few area's in OLM's homestead....then it's off to create a few snowmen and I have a idea for a Angel....better do it before I forget! Oh this brain....... My little farm table that acts as a coffee table...Mom's baby doll... the picture is my mom as a young girl receiving this doll for Christmas! How much fun is that... just found this picture a little bit ago.....WONDERFUL penny rug from Karen, from My Colonial Home... And a pumpkin made from turkey hollow folk art....

I have to say thanks to everyone that gave a pumpkin a good home this fall! you should know I will spend that money well on BAGS!!!! HEHEHEEHHE

SO, really I am DONE with making pumpkins.... BUT.... Earlier this week I found a few that I started to sew up and never finished... and felt...well... might as well...Then I was working on a little something for my "BAGS" trip... can't show, "BAGS" could be reading.... WELL... I made to much... SO I was thinking.... I could take them to the shop... but not going there until next week... so I thought if anyone was interested here in Blog Land, you could have first pick if you are interested...
So here is the unplanned Blog Sale.... LOL.... The last of my goofy JACK pumpkins for the season.... Few are smaller then I have made before... So cute.... The bigger ones have a bit of rags in their bottom so they sit great! After the haunting season, turn them around just for a plain pumpkin if you want until Thanksgiving....

Just a quick fun little picture... Every Fall Our High School hosts a Large Cross Country Meet... I think there is about least 10 high schools that are here... It's a mess parking on our street for the day... But they run right behind our house.... Always fun to watch....

OK, FINALLY! Details on a ornament swap I have decided to host.... I probably should have my head examined for doing this...LOL... But I think it will be fun!!! Now, I have never done anything like this before, so I hope I am not forgetting anything.... Here is how it all will work....
1. You MUST be a follower of my blog and I am familiar with you... comments, etc....
2.. To sign up you MUST email me at folkart94@msn.com telling you would like to participate. I will take participates until Monday, Sept. 26th....
3. ALL ORNAMENTS MUST BE HANDMADE and of a PRIMITIVE nature...nothing store bought... Now, you can purchase ornaments that have been handmade to be part of the swap if you are not crafty and want to play along.....We all like the same thing, so PLEASE remember to give as you would like to receive....
4. So the decision is yours... You can send one ornament... or up to 6... How it will work, is you will mail ME your ornaments once complete, 1, 2, 4 or up to 6... no more then 6, though... How ever many you send, you will receive that many ornaments back in return, make sense? Any questions, please feel free to contact me as well... Also, they don't have to be all the same...they can be all different if you choose....
5. ALL ornaments must be mailed and RECEIVED TO ME BY MONDAY NOVEMBER 7th... that gives all of us about 7 weeks to create... Then give me about a week to get everything split back up and shipped out to you. Just in time for your Holiday decorating....

PUMPKINS, DECORATING, I MISS YA!!!

WOW! Now today feels like a fall day... Cool...rainy, overcast, FALL is in the air!!!

I have missed you guys, I have been away from the computer so much! I peek in, read a bit, leave only a few comments here and there... Please forgive! I haven't worked this hard creating since my days when I had a small shop and I painted folk art... I have been a busy and the only thing I seem to be making is pumpkins....LOL... If I am counting right, I am up to about 90+ pumpkins of all kinds and shapes....LOL... I think I might be sick of pumpkins??? Here's a few of my latest and probably LAST pumpkins...Most just went up on www.lemonpoppyseeds.com and www.simplyprimitves.com 2nite.... With all this creating it leaves little computer time, cleaning house time, decorating time.... AND at my favorite time of year no less... Now I am not complaining one bit! For everyone who eamiled me interested in my goofy pumpkins, this has been wonderful for my ego and made me FINALLY believe to trust my inner creativity when creating my prims.... BUT sadly I need to start on Christmas and winter for the shops.... So to everyone who has given a OLM Goofy Jack a home, THANK YOU!!!!! AND know you helped put a little extra $$$ in my wallet for "BAGS" my girls trip in just 21 days!!! YIPPEE!!! can't wait... 5 days, of laughs, shopping, eating, antiquing, rummage sales, and eating!!!

SO today, since it's rainy and I can't paint pumpkins outside... I decide to take a much NEEDED day off... Started decorating and cleaning... Cleaning coming along SLOWLY as is decorating... What a mess... Why is it so much work? LOL.... Love it once it's done... but I need to put away so much... It might be time to thin things out a bit... Now I have been thinning out some a bit... I love lots of "stuff" it's my thing.... but... it might be a bit out of hand??? DON'T TELL HUBBY I SAID THAT!!! he would never let me live it down!!!! LOL

I hope everyone has had a WONDERFUL holiday weekend! We have had wonderful fall like weather. I am in a a sweatshirt and pants all day, wonderful breeze! Fall is in the air!!
Picked my first gourdkin out of the front yard....Well, really went to move it just a bit and it popped off the vine... My little Niece and Nephew, Joey and William where here on Saturday, and they wanted them all... Well, I wasn't going to give them all up, but sent them home with the first one...
This weekend was Hubby's B-day. We really didn't do anything super exciting, but got many things done around the homestead here.... I have also been busy finishing up a few goodies for my Blog sale tomorrow at 4pm, for anyone that might be interested! Details tomorrow.... But of course...In true OLM fashion.......

90+ degrees and Pumpkins.... Details, Details...

Holy hot one batman!!!! Oh my!!! I knew we weren't done with hot weather... but 90+ and humidity on Sept.1st, UGH!!!! Air's on and all I can thing about is pumpkins... decorating that is...What is it about fall....???? the colors???? cooler nights??? Hot chocolate with Bailey's in in??? Well those days are still a bit off.... but I did put a few pumpkins out..... In my new prim wagon that is.... Did I NEED this NOPE! Did I have room for it.... not really.... bigger then I thought....but I found a place for it for now..... made of course a bigger mess...AND with all the crafting going on... I really did NOT need more mess....LOL
So the worker's finished up our paver walk and border around the patio today. I am VERY happy with how it turned out!!! Now there is a mess in the backyard too! I just can't win! LOL!!!

No good angle to show it all at once... here was the work in progress the other day....

Here is the path that comes off the patio door and steps to the service doors on the garage and "man cave".....

and then around the patio.... when we realized the patio was a bit small....sigh.. and talked about putting the paver's around the patio. I wasn't sure how it would look... though the paver's were FREE! So.... I have to say I am very happy and pleased on how it looks! They might not of been the paver style I would of picked out, but again FREE talks!!! LOL!!!! I am so glad this is done and not hang over hubby's head to do it... Now maybe he will build me my little storage outhouse???LOL

Now, a Few DETAILS!!!! Yes, I will be having a blog sale and will host the ornament swap.... First the Sale... it will be Tuesday, Sept 6th... I was going to do it Monday, then realized OOPS, Holiday.... So Tuesday, about 4pm... it will be first come to my email for those that might be interested.... I am creating a few things just for this sale.....

And of course in the "spirit" of teasing....LOL... few things waiting for a few more details to finish them up......

Later next week, after I get a bit organized on swap details, I post those as well......Though one thing for sure... you will have until very early November to get the ornaments to me, etc......

Creating, new messes...and thoughts for a swap? feedback??

First, I hoping everyone is safe from Irene... I hope everyone was out of harms way and had no damage!!!! I am seeing pictures on the news and it's heart breaking, all the flooding.... I am thinking of you!!!!

So as for me, it's more of the same... I have not crafted this hard in years! LOL! Not since my folk art painting days and I did a couple of shows... WOW! Thanks to everyone for their support and wanting a few of my fall prim goodies... I am planning on having a little blog sale, for my followers, not sure the date yet... I am thinking the end of this week... but I don't know... I am having one of those weeks, and it's only Tuesday! LOL.... BUT, I will give at least a day's warning before I do anything or if it's next week.... I want to have a few special goodies done!
SO yes, I have been creating like a mad prim craftier!!!
Having a bit of work done outside before winter... I should of take a picture, but forgot....when we added onto the house and put the patio in, really it was a bit to small.. and we wanted a walkway to both service doors on the garage. We have had the pavers for over a year. Got most of them for free.... Hubby was going to do it last fall, but then mom took that turn for the worse...sigh... this year time has just gotten away from us.... SO I have been "working" on him that it wouldn't be to much to have someone do the work since we have the brick... Finally got a estimate, he was shocked... So they WERE to start today, BUT came yesterday...LOL... hubby a bit upset, wasn't ready, but I was like, roll with it! It's looking great... they will back tomorrow to finish! YIPPEE!!! One BIG thing off the honey do list for fall!!!! Speaking of fall.... pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins... oh my!!!! Changed things up a bit...here is the "fab" 6 done as of last night! few more need faces... then I am not sure how many more I am going to make... I really want to do a few more different fall things, then start , oh my hate to say it..... Christmas.... so much I want to do, and last fall, really nothing got done after mom passed away... I really want to get a good start on Holiday....sigh again!
AND... I have been playing a bit with my new camera... nothing fancy... I really struggled with what I wanted.... looked, comparing... Megapixel.. vs sensor size.... ugh! I am a SLR... film gal... Love film, studied photography a bit in college... developed my own photos.... HATED digital when it first came out....BUT, now, can't do anything on the computer...without it.... so FINALLY, I said to Steven, who worked at Best Buy for 3 years, before his corporate job... I want simple to use... take good clear pictures of my work, etc... and will fit in my purse.... and go buy it for me! LOL!!!So I got a Cannon Powershot Elph 100hs... Love it... I haven't even read up on it yet.. .no time... BUT even with my brain, lol... i have figured out how to take a few pictures... All of these with the new camera.....

Boy, I was going to make a quick post....LOL...need to run a few errors and finish some 'wee witches" make a do heads.... I guess I had a lot to say, I have been MIA to much! So 2 weeks ago, Alex decided he needed a "vacation"...LOL.... he went back to college to visit... yeah right, more like party for 5 days straight before school started for his buddies.... BUT, going back to Western, he has to go through Mammouth... when Maple City Pottery is... Made him stop.... been wanting one of these crock paper towel holders for a while... You see them in Country Sampler, but at the factory there is 2nd quality.... So he picked this one up for me... and a Snowman cookie jar, I forgot to up load that one... OK... Now for a thought I had for a hosting a swap!?!?!?!!? I have NEVER done this before, not sure if I am up for the task... So I am asking for some feedback, email me at folkart94@msn.com on your thoughts, if you are interested... I will decide next week if I will do it or not.... So here it is... Ornament Swap! Here is what I am thinking,

handmade ornaments ONLY... You can make it, or buy from another craftier if you wish, PRIMITIVE of course.. Must be a follower and have commented on my blog before. and I am familiar with you and your blog... US and Canada only.... Yes, I need to work more details out.... but here's how I think I would work it...

You can make one ornie or up to 6 ornies, all same or different...wrap them up cute in a cellophane bags with your info on a card or tags....Then you will ship them to me, with enough money enclosed to have you goodies shipped back to you, I know that's double shipping, but I did one similar to this last fall, it was fun.... So once I have all the ornies, I will divide them up, and you would get 6 different ornies from 6 different bloger's/crafters... What do ya think??? are you game... Now if you send me one, you get one... send 4, get 4.....and so on... I would put a deadline of ornies to me by say November 2nd... so it gives me a few days to divide them up and send them back... Thoughts? Would like to do it? email me!

Happy Monday afternoon everyone!!!!! I know I have been MIA quite a bit lately.... such a busy gal, creating, receiving a few orders and filling them as well! Today feels like the start of fall here... mostly rainy, a bit cool, and a hint of leaves starting to change ALREADY...... Though heat and humidity coming back tonight.... so summer is by no means is over!

I didn't get any crafting done over the weekend... Had to clean for the year end softball party we have every year. I couldn't let anyone in with the way it looked and stuff everywhere! Is anyone a neat craftier?

So look at all the batting I have for my crafts AGAIN! YIPPEE!!! I was getting very low and getting concerned that all crafting was coming to a complete holt pretty quick.... So here's the story on this.....LOL.....
I have been a fan of ONLY Morning Glory fiber fill! Most of us are, you could only get it at good old...not really, Walmart.... well last year they stopped carrying it.... UGH! Truly I hate Wamart, they really don't' care about their customers...just the bottom line, and the bottom line, they were not making enough on Morning Glory so they stopped carrying it and started carrying crap fiberfill...... So anyway.... what's a gal to do??? Well come to find out you can get it from Marshall dry goods...Problem, SHIPPING... Only way to get around that is to order 20 boxes, 100 lbs of fiberfill.... Which is what I finally did last July... BUT, I don't live in a large home, and no basement..... Trying to figure out where to put all those boxes....Well, Alex was away at school until December, so there is where the boxes went....... So I was down to my last 3 boxes...Dreading ordering 20 more boxes... and I heard on FB, they changed their formula.... so I didn't want to get 20 boxes and hate it...UGH! What's a gal to do??? Pumpkins need to be made! LOL.....
Well one crafting buddy suggest Monetary Mills in Janesville WI.... Very similar to Morning Glory.... and Cheaper...BUT you have to go get it... Shipping will kill ya...ok, I 'm about 2 hours away... I can do that... and it takes a bit to get it...they are so busy from this Walmart mess.... It was thought this amount would of cost about $100 to ship...
So here it is, got the call yesterday morning 60 lbs ready for pick up... Had to wait 3 weeks.... Hubby was home.... beautiful weather...lets go for a ride... Off we went... Didn't stop anywhere... and most shops are closed on Monday, away....Just there and back... Tossed it all on Alex's bed as a joke...LOL... I won't say what he said when he saw it, but you can guess! LOL!!!! So let more creating begin! And hiding places to hide it... though I think this will be easier then 20 boxes...

So rain was coming in this morning after Knuckle's walk... I decide to take a few quick pictures.. Wanted to share my pumpkin, or gourkin vine as I am calling it.... No gourd tree this year, Misi, but I have gourkins!!! LOL..... I didn't plant this vine, just came up. Wasn't doing much all summer, let it go.... and all of sudden it's taken over! And pumpkins are all long, not round and coloring I have not seen, except in gourds..... I really think a pumpkin seed and gourd seed cross germinated.... I don't know.... but there are 6 of them out there if they don't get stolen....

Look at this one... looks like it has all it's color already. I am really thinking we are going to have a early fall here.... as long as it lasts a long time, that's ok, and no snow!

Look at the the flower heads on this one just waiting... this one came up in a crack in the cement on the side of the house... just let it go, and it's my biggest plant... so figure.... many Moonflowers to come in the next couple of days.....

So there you have it, nothing to exciting..... but fall is in the air.... I am thinking a few fall goodies must come out this week!!!! I am sorry I haven't been out in blog land much... Why I've Been MIA.....

A late and quick hello in blog land.... I know I have been MIA for a bit... trying to stay off the computer... get things done... you know, beat my head against the wall... getting no where fast... and boy the back is angry! IT needs a rest..... And I have been working at Poppy Seeds yesterday and tomorrow... Just no rest for the wicked...LOL... yes I am a wicked one!!!!

So just look at the this mess... and this is the "neat" one... my house looks like a bomb went off in it... UGH! I hate these messes... And I am in the mood to start bring out a bit of fall... no time for that.....just creating, creating, creating...... I did FINALLY put a few new things on the Lemon Poppy Seeds.... Over due.... thought I would share .....

Few more goofy pumpkins.... These seems to be a hit! YIPPEE!!! Taking a few more to the shop in Dekalb after Poppy Seeds tomorrow....

And my primitive gourd pumpkins, I love these guys, because they are good for the whole season, right up to turkey day.....

So there you have it...nothing exciting... just crafting... Now I really need to rest the back... off to watch a bit of TV..... Hope all is well with everyone... I promise this weekend I will catch up what going on with everyone else! OLM

Bit of Eye Candy

I was going to post these pictures yesterday, but the day just got away from me.... Then I hoped to do it before now... But again, day got away... making pumpkins, boxing and shipping off goodies to those who ordered... life.... so anyway.....Thursday I worked at the Primitive chick in Dekalb, I thought I would share a few pictures of the shop...If you want primitive furniture in my area, there are some wonderful pieces here...SIGH... if I only had a bigger house...LOL.... The shop is always changing and many pieces don't stay to long.... click on them to make them bigger and see everything better..... So just a couple of random shots... here and there... You might even see a OLM doll or pumpkin sitting around... Got a text today telling me to make more pumpkins!!! Really, again more???!!! LOL... it's a good thing. I guess everyone is getting in the mood and the cooler temperatures we have had the last couple of days help. Took several pumpkins in when I worked... most are gone I am told, off to good primitives homes!

Oh how I LOVE this piece!!! A great step back... Can't believe it's still in the shop! Love the paint on it... IF I had a space for this one, it would be here already! BUT sadly I don't, so it's still in the shop looking for a good home....

Thought I would show this off too... went to a estate sale this morning.. Got a few small goodies.. still in the bag.... BUT I really bonded with this...

It's huge! 6 gallons... Got to talking to the girl who was having the estate sale, down sizing... she said this was her grandmother's. She remembers her grandmother using it, made great butter with it... Once I heard the story, I had to have it...Great history, just can't understand why anyone would part with it.... Love it!!! I have a small crock butter churn, I will take that one to the shop and sell it and keep this one...

Then lastly I thought I would give a quick peek to my Simply Primitives update tomorrow... Got it all organized... I am behind for Lemon Poppy Seeds. I hope to do that on Monday.

What Does One do When the Weather is DELIGHTFUL....

I know it won't last, and I suppose it shouldn't just yet, BUT the weather is so fall like!!! Low 70's here today, no humidity, it is WONDERFUL! So what is a gal to do, but set up shop outside for the day... I have been a busy little beaver! Every time time I think I might be getting ahead of the game...NOPE!! Which is a good thing right!!?!?!? It just leaves very little time to play or even clean for that matter... oh well....
So I thought I would share a few of my finished latest creations... A few will go with me to the shop in Dekalb tomorrow... I am playing shop keep for the day! Always fun... and a few things for the Simply Primitives update next week too..... I feel like all a see is pumpkins right now... I am the 6Th sense of Halloween... I see pumpkins, and pumpkins....

So I created all these goofy face pumpkins... no 2 a completely alike, all my own designs... What do ya think???

Witches from a Netty Lacroix pattern... Can never go wrong with a Netty pattern!

AH... the misfits... I made some of these last year, mostly on the small side... Made a few more... No pattern for these guys... Just sewn and just created the faces as I went... Hubby doesn't like...LOL...Well, what did I expect, he really doesn't get all of this or that anyone would want my creations.... What ya think?

OH, YA... see what's tucked to the side...came in the mail today... some light reading tonight..my reward for all my hard work today!

Oh Mr. Knuckles... thought I would share this...LOL... he looks like he's been into something doesn't he??? I don't know who put a quarter in him the other night... But he was full of "it", whatever "it" is....

So it was said, maybe by me... he misses the "goat"..... BIG MISTAKE.....

FINALLY!!! Cooler temperatures!!! Windows open and fresh air!!!! Now.....thoughts of all things orange and black... Did ya catch my new picture...well how could ya miss it.... Instead of saying " I see dead people" "I see pumpkins".... and I need to make more.... I think all of us are ready for cooler temps after this hot summer... maybe not all fall brings, but a few teaser's at least!!!!

So Pam from basketsnprims and I have talked about doing a swap since the Spring, then we both got busy and you know how it goes... But we finally got together and I received a few goodies from Pam yesterday!!! Oh my, I was spoiled and so love everything!!! thanks Pam! I haven't had a chance to put them in a great place yet. Spent the day running from shop to shop, taking in Pumpkins of course and a few antiques at the Primitive Chick and Poppy Seeds.... So everything was tucked so nice in one of Pam's wonderful baskets!!!!

Great Halloween cross stitched pillow, LOVE IT!!! Well, I love it all... I love that it says "she was wicked" HEEHEHEHEHE

Great little make a do doll... and beeswax ornies!!! Some dried yarrow and sweet annie!!!! Thanks Pam for being such a great swap partner!!! We are already talking about doing one for the Holidays!!!!

Then I just wanted to show you this guy that came in the mail for me today!!! Love him! Purchased him from Wendy at Pineberry Lane! I so love her work and her patterns! They are my favorite to work from. This guy was on early work mercantile and I just had to give him a home!!!

He's perfectly prim and fits right in!

So the time has come... I could draw this out... make a long post, one you all would either kill me or truly not read it!!! LOL!... BUT, Millie and Maude have been very antsy all morning to see where they are off too!!!! SO here it goes..... I had 85 entries/blogs on what makes your heart skip a beat.... Now I took out one for double entry...double checked that and no blog post and one was just a general comment...

I have been a busy girl!!! Trying to stay off the computer... I pop in read a few blogs...Please forgive, I am slacking on the comments, but know I am reading a few at a time!!!!....I wanted to get my giveaway finished and working like crazy on pumpkins and such...... BUT FINALLY today I finished up the "girls"..... It seems, maybe I have teased long enough??? I wasn't going to show everything... Then I changed my mind....... In keeping my my theme "what Makes Your Heart Skip A Beat"...Today's pictures is of my Moon flowers opening up!

These Flowers have traveled from my childhood home to the current home my dad lives in...to the first home hubby and I had, to here.... They have made the rounds... Each flower only opens up at dusk, for only one night. Then the flower dies off and a seed pod forms full of seeds for the next year... One of my favorite flowers! They are starting to bloom and since so many of my other flowers are not doing so well this year... This is a treat! Even in this heat they are opening and growing!!!!

I was popular with the mailman on Friday! I received a fun thank you from Karen over at My Colonial Home... WOW!!! So wasn't necessary, but I have always loved her needle work and so lucky to have one now!!!

Karen and I were talking off line about these 2 dolls she had that had no details.. She was just going to give them to me... BUT I said, I would finish them for her!!!! As long she likes my style of dolls, I would be happy to do that for her!
So they came for a visit... I put on my thinking cap... Finished them off in true OLM fashion and sent them back to their home!!!! They missed Karen!

Then I received this, WOW!!!

Fall can't come fast enough! Between this and the quilted runner Becky did for me, I so can't wait to put them out!!!

Then that should of been more then enough, but a pantry towel!!!!

AND this little pantry bag with some fun prim labels!!! Thank you Karen, really I think I got the better deal!?!?!!?!? Love them all!

Then in the spirit of my giveaway I was going to talk about something else that makes my heart skip a beat! I had a plan... Then this happened on Saturday and just needed to share!!!!

My brother and his family came over for a fish fry. Boys went to Canada last summer and we still had some fish to cook so we did!......BUT...then the kids wanted to play with water balloons....then out came the water balloon launcher! This is so much fun...We have had many years of fun and even a broke window with these!

Big and little kids couldn't get enough! Kept trying to shot them straight up in the air to see how high they would go......

But the ladders weren't good enough!!! Steven had a bright idea, and of course hubby thought it was a great one????

Knuckles might not of been to happy with their decision! But lets get on the roof and see how well this works????? So what makes my heart skip a beat, my idiots up on the roofs... Not a good skip?!!?!!?

I will tell you a few things that make my heart skip a beat or 2!!! Other then My wonderful Hubby and Boys..... So here we go today....

First all my nieces and nephews... BUT the youngest... Joey and William at 3!!! It break my heart they will never remember mom "NANA" .....but... Just as with my nephews when they were this age, they call me "AUNTIE RE" Oh I love it... so very soon, it will turn into Aunt Marie... BUT for now "AUNTIE RE!!!!" I forgot how much I missed it!!! Being able to a make a Birthday cake for BFN...Nadine for her birthday yesterday!!! Her hubby out of town working, so we had cake a wine last night for her!!! We are blessed with WONDERFUL neighbors!!! Happy Birthday Nadine!!!

I never get tired of showing you what Knuckles is up to next...LOL... We went from so wet and raining to HOT, HUMID, AND DRY!!!

Knuckles of course goes right for the sprinkler.... Blow the pictures up... just click on them... see something drying in the back ground??? YUP!!! another tease... I am so BAD!!! HEHE!!

No sooner he's all wet... needs to start rubbing against something...against Dave's fence he goes!!! Such a goof!

Then I caught him drinking out of my watering can... AGAIN what a goof... Hey Knuckle's your water bowl is right next to the water can!!!

OOPS! BUSTED!!!!......

This one is for Lil Raggedy Angie.... So last night having cake for Nadine, of course Denise's dogs are here... Winston is the one that loves to beat up on Knuckles some....Well he started bringing a few of Knuckles toys out of the house... Knuckles big sheep from Angie... This thing is bigger then Winston, BUT if it's Knuckle's he wants it... There was a tug of war with Knuckles, but I didn't get that picture... No worries...knuckles got it back, and then beat up on poor Spencer, no picture of that, but poor Spencer is afraid of his own shadow!!!

So I have thinking...and thinking... anyone smell smoke??? I have talked about once I hit 175 in followers I would do a giveaway... Now I am 187 WOW! I am blown away. Back when I started blogging, I had no idea where I was going with this... I had been reading some blogs from a distance, enjoying every one's love of family, decorating, and oh the PRIMITIVES!!! I so love seeing everyone's beautiful homes and what each does!!! I really didn't think I had much to say, or anyone would truly want to read it! So for that Thank you! For all the wonderful blogging friends I have made, again thank you!

So I was a bit stumped I admit.... I didn't know how I wanted to do this... Wanted to change things up a bit... Do something outside the box.... Again, thinking and thinking... I feel like POOH bear... Then it came to me.... So this is something I think that hasn't been done before... not sure, but my twist on a giveaway.... I am going to make you work for it, I hope it's fun.... AND to top it off... I am not showing you the giveaway yet.... Well.. really I haven't made it.... So I am going to "TEASE" you as I go....LOL..... BUT, in the end.... there will be names in a bowl... and I will have the boys pick a name, maybe two... we will see how organized I am......

The Ugly Side to Estate Saling....HELP...and..Blogsale-THANK YOU!

I want to thank everyone who took the time to visit my blog during my blog sale and all of those who made a purchase! Hubby thanks you too... That means there is less "stuff" in the house, as he would say! LOL... Silly man, he doesn't realize that means room for "new" stuff!!! HEHE... Speaking of new stuff.... Oh wait that's a good story!!!! First I need some help....

Has anyone seen my goofy baby boy????? Look at this face, only a mommy can love, right?? Where is he I ask... This strange man keeps coming home from his "corporate" job.. walks right in, eats my food... yes, still leaves me a mess... One might think it's my baby, BUT... I say, my baby, waits until 5 minutes before needing to leave for work to get out of bed, this one gets up eats some breakfast....my baby, NEVER brushes his hair...this one does...AND shaves everyday, instead of like, every 10 days!! Goes kicking and screaming to cut his hair... Well.. wait, he hasn't don't that yet...This one wears nice clothes, sports a work blackberry now and a work laptop, oh ya goes to bed early instead of 3AM!!!!! Help, my baby has grown up!!!! SIGH! Now the bonus to this story... I have a few bills for you to start paying, NOW!!!! LOL

Now onto a story of OLM and hubby going to a estate sale yesterday!!! Oh my, the advertising for this sale sounds like some good stuff....so off we go.. got there about 10 minutes after it opens... walking up the property, can't see a house??? OK, everything looks like it's set up outside & in the garage... Oh my the "stuff" the craft stuff oh my...if I only still painted on wood!!! So I turn to the group running it and say "so everything is outside?" No there is more inside.... where is the house??? OH, it's behind the garage... it's a tiny cottage house... Now remember TINY!!!! So you can't see it until you look out past the garage... So there is a small line to get into the house, because it's TINY, so they are only letting a few people in at a time, that's OK... we got visiting with some of the others in line, goes by fast!!!! Oh wait... What I went there for.. I see leave.. SIGH... There goes that butter churn...I guess I didn't need it...

So we get inside, it's TINY, maybe 500 square feet, maybe a bit more home. Oh the antiques!!! This makes my heart skip a beat, good prices too! I like this company, they price things fair and to move! It's where I got the dry sink few weeks back.... ANYWAY, Of course I am finding a few things... Image that... We go into the bedroom... There "it" is... Oh my, my heart skips a beat!!! again, oh look at that price...skip,skip,skip!!! I turn to hubby, I have wanted "one" of these for years!!!! Probably 15 plus years... Go by to my days having a small shop, would see it at the gift show...longing, wanting....So first clue, it's not a antique..... Hubby being the most wonderful man that he is, then get it!!! REALLY??? I say, yes! Done... shame on me to ask twice.... we mark it sold and off to look at the rest of the "stuff"...one of the gals working will clean it off while we look.....Finally ready to leave.. we start to pull it out... Now, if you have never been to a estate sale before, the first thing you should know, is they DON'T help you move anything, it's all up to you, and I can't help... Just hubby... and this is a TINY house!!!! Now we ask this one woman to move out of our way, please... She's like "OH this is sold??? she had a tape measure in her hand... yes and it's leaving now... Patio door, blocked... have to out the back door, where the line is.... Well.. down the tiny hall way, moving things as we go, needed people to get out of the way so hubby does hit them with it!! Wondering what it is yet??? have you peeked at the picture??? I hope not, stay with me... It's going to get a bit funny.....

So to the door we are.... oh no, would go through the door... S$$$... I ask in line if there is someone that could help hubby a bit... First guy NO right away, that's fine... One guy steps up... everyone starting to says, it's NOT going to come out.... WELL, it has too, they got it in!!!! What went in must come out, right???? So there is one worker just standing there in this TINY, TINY kitchen, while hubby is struggling in this out!! AND just eating a bagel, I really wanted to hit her... Move a few things!!! Now, hubby is hearing from the peanut gallery, I want to see him get this out the door!!!! So hubby try's to take it over his head a bit to clear the cabinets, nope won't work. I finally say, I think the door needs to come the hinges... HMM..maybe.. then hubby decides to move the refrigerator over about 6-8 inches, BUT that means moving more "stuff" over too.. Then maybe the door will open more... The whole time commentary from the line...LOL.... One gal in line, was like really... that's what I was in line to look at.....HEHE!!! Yes, I am a spoiled brat! SO FINALLY hubby gets it out the door! VICTORY IS OURS!!! Well so we think!

Round 2.... Hubby off to get my car, I have a Ford Edge.... we don't have hubby truck... Because...
Of this! Remember... So it's in the shop, and really we were not buying anything BIG! Again, we should never shop together.... Hubby asks you think this will fit in the Edge?? Sure, it's not that big... I get in line to pay, hubby pulls up the car... Comments for those in line, with "this" item sitting there... oh how nice... how much??...oh great price!!! I say to hubby go ahead take it & put in in the car while I am waiting, you know to safe a bit of time.... LOL....
Off hubby goes starts to get it in the back...MMM... he's having a bit of difficulty... I am thinking, we might need to go get Alex's truck for this... But did I say this to hubby... well not yet... I look up in time to see this "item" FALL out of the edge and start to roll!!!! OMG!!! Did I just see that??? I yell, being the smart ass that I am.. " I hope that didn't break" I just get the "look"... OK, OLM, keep your mouth shut!!! Oh how nice, here come another man to help him!!! YIPPEE!!! I pay and finally see that "it's" in the car... As I come up to the car, I hear the man say "Good Luck Getting it OUT!" Hubby NOT to happy at the moment... He thought some of the helper's comments not necessary... LIKE... let me help, I have moved a few things in my day... like hubby hadn't... well it did not look to good to have it fall out of the car, BUT I KEPT MY MOUTH SHUT!.. Or as the helper wanted to take the covering off the back end that covers the spare tire and such... Hubby says, I think it's bolted down... helper starts lifting it... AND says again, this is your car, right??? Steam coming out of my usually very laid back hubby's ears!!! ANYWAY, it's in the car!! What went in must come out, RIGHT???? LOL

Part 3... I am beginning to think we will need to cut this out of the car... hubby took out the spare tire to give him more room... I SO STUPIDLY make a suggestion, I get the LOOK... off into the house... Really I should of had a picture of this in the back end of the car, BUT I was NOT going out there again.. FINALLY I hear doors closing, I HOPE it's a good sign, YUP, it's out... watch Knuckles, he's bringing it in!!!! YIPPEE!!!

PART 4 UH-OH... were am I going to put this??? Now, first with the blog sale the front room is a bit of a mess......
Boxes everywhere... taking pictures... leaving stuff out... Well, the ugly side of blogging no one shows.....LOL

There's hubby resting... Looking at me, WHAT ELSE IS GOING TO GO???? You can't make this work... Well... the mess isn't helping!!! Give me a minute! the rat in on the wheel... that is what I say when I am thinking....BUT I so love this piece! Did I mention I have wanted one like this for years and years???? Really, baskets anyone????

Even Knuckles is exhausted from it all!!!!

Hubby getting into the spirit of things... starting to see some of the humor of what just happened.. Really it fell out of the.....car??? I won't say what he really said!

It's a Johnston Bench works goose neck love seat rocking chair!!! Not crazy about the fabric, but it works,OK, with everything else and the wall colors. I just wish it didn't have the purple in it and it would be PERFECT!!! Doesn't it remind you of something that would be in Grandma's House?? See my new dollie... Just got that from Dru at Cinnamon Creek! How this didn't break when it fell out of the car and started to roll... go ahead, time to laugh, it could only happen to us!!!! SIGH!!! LMAO!!! I am off to sit in my new chair! Really should be cleaning up the room... well... we will see...

Happy Hump day everyone!!! I hope you are staying cool on this toasty day!!!! So here is a few thoughts and details on how I think I am going to do this. I hope this makes sense......

So my first post of pictures will be tomorrow, sometime around 10-11am.... Everything will be based on first come to my email, if anyone is interested in my "junk" LOL..... emails to folkart94@msn.com I will take PP and checks/MO for payment... I am going to guess on Postage, I have never done this before, so I rather be on the low side then over. IF I over charge by mistake on shipping, I will refund that $$ back to you... I have lots of "STUFF" I just don't know how much I will post, I guess I will see how it goes... I am a bit overwhelmed with the mess I have created! There will be some vintage... BUT there will be more crafts, for fall/Halloween/Christmas... most I created, some I did not. AND a few of my dolls, one of which will be in the PRIMS magazine!!!! I will let you know which is which.... There will also be some Longaberger... I have mentioned in the past I sold for over 12 years, I have kept my faves, but I have tub's of baskets and such I would like to part with, CHEAP!

Tuesday Display Chain "Patina"

Is it Tuesday? I'm confused... It really feels like Monday...I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th! We had a wonderful day with friends and some family... Recouping today!

Once I realized it is Tuesday, OOPS! That means it's display chain day! Today's theme from Misi over at the 1890gablehousemusing.blogpsot.com "Patina".... OH how we all love the patina's on our prims! I could take pictures all day on this one.... But I am moving a bit slow today! So Here are just a few of my faves!!!! This is my latest find! A old stove board... Love it! decided to use it as a fireplace screen in front of my fake fireplace mantel... Not big enough for the opening, fun all the same!

I don't think I ever showed this off... Acquired this early in the Spring off FB... OH my, SO SO much bigger then I ever could of imaged! The biggest firkin I have ever see! And of course wonderful patina!!!

Just a few bowls... some many different patinas......

My first real "prim" piece once I started walking on the dark side of primitives... LOL... Can't get enough of them now.... I wonder the stories this great old table could tell... think of what its heard while bread was being made for a family.....

Loved this best about the top... Was it a meat grinder attached??? Again if this table could talk...

AH, My lasted sign... found this couple of weeks ago... hubby put a stake on it and it's out on the patio! The hit of the BBQ yesterday....a little humor!

So needed to show off this little surprise I received last week from Becky over at primitives n stitchin! Loved her, I think she had one of these gals for a giveaway awhile back?? Such a wonderful surprise, perfect pick me up on a day that was a bit crappy! Thanks Becky!

Just don't know what I want to do.... I have to make up my mind... Do I use Becky, that I showed awhile back... I just don't know.... Details to follow soon, I promise! AND.... hubby is off this week and we have plans to clean up the crawl space... Why do I mention that???? Well.... I am going to thin out some of my prim goods and such.... So later in the week, I am going to have a blog garage sale if anyone is interested.... I am shooting for Thursday and Friday, But I am all screwed up with thinking it's still Monday! have a great day! OLM

Well.... giggle, giggle... Now that I have FINALLY figured out to manage a play list... Yeah I know it wasn't that hard.... I've added a few more songs... Didn't have one I was looking for... I was looking for "you life is Now" by Mellencamp, settled for "check it out" instead.... But added a few fun ones... You could just stay all day and listen to my music? LOL.... now Everclear's Santa Monica doesn't play right... And there isn't one that doesn't have ad attached to the beginning.... oh well... I don't know how to fix that.... So there's few more... give me a hour and who knows what else I will come up with... Though I think it's best to leave it at this and maybe change things around later! It's going to be a hot one batman! Off to shower and run errors now! OLM

Good Evening all my blogging buddies! I hope all is well in blog land! I just wanted to let you know I 've added a play list to my blog. Few of my favorite songs of the moment and always! My taste varies and each song on my list has a special meaning to me....
