HELLO........

Hello, I am alive... I am still here....
It's bad when hubby tells you that you have only made 3 blog posts all year...
Life, it's a crazy ride isn't it?
Embrace it, after all we only get one.
I have to admit, we have had some bumps again...
I won't go into most...
But, where to catch you up...
When I last posted I was so excited we were going to Florida for some much deserved and earned R & R on the beach!
I was soo looking forward to it...
I am not crazy about flying...
My issues of not flying did not stop the need for a beach vacation.
So we managed to pick the days Florida has it's coldest weather of the season.. fog... drizzle...
BUT... we left below zero weather... so the 60's felt really good...
Well... at least for a day that is....
Here I am bravely walking in the gulf...
Walking on the beach after the fog lifted... We had a great day.
Then, oh so sadly the morning of our second day....
a call....
Hubby's best friend of almost 50 years passed away of a heart attack the night we left... They had been looking for us for a day and half, till they found my cell number...
Life lesson on travel insurance.. and a trip cut short...
Chuck was best man at our wedding, uncle to our boys... if anything should of happened to hubby and I, he was to be guardian to our boys when they were small...
They played softball together all their adult lives..
He was only 59.....

Here is hubby and chuck goofing off at our wedding just over 28 years ago...
He is missed... softball is not the same for hubby...
Live goes on...
Steven moved out...
He felt finally his house was rehabbed enough that he could move in..
he and his fiancee have started looking at churches.. They are thinking of a fall 2016 wedding...
Yes, life rolls on... so one must jump back on....
I went back to work...
I still have my shop, but I am also working what I thought would be very part time... It's been a wee bit more... but the money is helpful and nice.
BUT, time... YIKES... what is that now?? I am working on managing that better.
Dad is dad... doing well enough.....
THEN... I need something fun.. for me and well, mostly for the back and foot...
Oh how I have wanted a hot tub....
It's took some work and figuring...
BUT... I am a lucky gal and got this gem at the end of April!
After all day on my feet this has been a life saver!

Then, I thought... maybe, since this has been the year of change for ME... Trying to do a few things for me.. Not being selfish.. Just after so much "stuff" the last couple of years... Remembering me...
So I have NEVER had short hair...
But, it's only hair... Mine grows like a weed anyway...
It's is so much easier to take care of...
Everyone seems to really like it.
For me, it's been a bit more of a adjustment...
I do like it though...
Here was before... Cocktails on the beach in Florida... These HUGE chairs were such a hoot!
Oh, I want to go back....
little afraid for another vacation, after this one...
might be awhile...
I have also left Early Work Mercantile.  Not that I didn't love it... Just that my creating time has been so cut short, that I am getting nothing done.
I need to get back to this and will... But It will be updates either on my selling blog/facebook and my shop...
Knuckles is good!  Staring to show is age a wee bit... sadly... but still cracks us up daily with the goofy things he does do!
So there you have it?  It's been almost 4 months since my last post... This was a quick update..
I will do my best not to stay away that long again...
And do some visiting of your blogs too!
HUGS!
OLM

Hello Marie. So glad to see your post. Sorry about the friend's passing away. Time really does seem to fly by so fast. I love your new short hair. My hair is now below-waist-level long and really should be cut. Well, that's not likely to happen, lol :)

So glad you are doing for you! That is a MUST. Always. Get it?lol I know you hate to see knuckles age, I do, but he has brought smiles to so many of us. I have 2 adopted FB dogs and Knuckles is one. You need to take another beach vacation. I got home at 10pm Sat night and looking forward to going back in Oct. Going to Nashville for the night tomorrow. Leaving early, it is less than 3 hours away. going to The Opry on Tuesday night to see Carrie UNderwood. then home for a long while. So happy to see you posting and I like your hair. It looks "fancy" as MOllie says, using a long A sound
