Happy New Year!!!

WOW!.... that's all I have... here comes 2012!?!?! Ready or not....

Wishing everyone a wonderful and safe New Year! Just where has this year gone?

It's been a rough one, adjusting to mom's passing...Things the "fruit loop" sister seems to pull every couple of weeks...the back issues....and just living. No matter what I am blessed and have no reason to complain, even if it happens at times.. So here's to a wonderful 2012 and all it has to offer! So sadly I guess it's time for the "un-decorating". Now, usually I don't take my tree down until the Epiphany, the coming of the three wise men on the 6th of January....BUT...this year we have a real tree and's dry, dry, tomorrow it comes down. Even though hubby is fighting me on this....And hubby just came in from taking the outside lights down too...DOUBLE UGH! Hate it! It's sooo dark then...BUT....since we have barely had even 2 inches of snow so far...AND for outside of Chicago, that is unheard of. Timing couldn't of been better to get it down, so down it came...Though I did leave my one wire snowman with white lights out...He will stay out until February. He doesn't look "Christmasie" and then I have a bit of light out in all that dark....Then out will come more snowmen.. I like to still have a bit of winter around for a bit....PSSSSS...see my wonderful "winter white" basket from Pam??? Love this basket! And a few goodies from Mary at a primitive homeplace too!

So off to put some of the outside stuff away! Again, have a most Wonderful New Year!!! OLM

Happy New Year, love your basket from Pam she does awesome work. Love your things from Mary too. I took down most of my Christmas decor, It is depressing, I love the Christmas decor, but try to have it all down and put away before going back to work! I do leave out some snowmen for awhile.
Hope this is a wonderful year for you and your family. Hugs, Lecia

I know exactly how you feel Marie. I keep telling myself Christmas will be here again before I know it ... & since I plan to work on Christmas things all year long, perhaps it will be as though it never left. Happy New Year dear friend! May this coming year bring you all your heart desires! Blessings, Shirlee

Love your new basket with the candle and winter friends inside. Such a warm and cozy pic.....

It's always hard for me to believe another year is gone.... they fly by so quickly anymore....

I like to leave out my snowmen, too, at least for the month of January.... then they get put away and out comes the Valentines Day. My mom decorated for EVERY holiday and it seems I have the same gene... ;)

Have a happy, healthy New Year!!!

Happy New Year, Marie.
Only one snow in Ohio a couple of weeks ago that lasted for only a day. That's okay by me :) Spring can come any time!!!
I am thinking about un-decorating and am dreading it!
Hugs :)

Marie, Just made it through my first Christmas without Mother so I can share you pain. I too hate to take down Christmas,, so depressing. I left the german twig tree up and will decorate with all snow related ornaments. I am bringing all the snowmen into the living room and will leave them until February. Sure hoping to see at least a few snowflakes here in the south this winter. So far the temps have been so mild. Bring on winter. Happy New Year

What fun getting to know you this past year - I can say I honestly have finally met someone who thinks like me in many, many ways!

Our outside came down last Monday or Tuesday during the beautiful weather we had...Doug wanted to beat the cold and wet...and he did...because today it is blowing and howling and there's snow that needed to be shoveled...uck!!!!! Winter is finally here.

I pray for a healing in your back (and me too!).
I also hope we get to meet one day in person...I know it will happen.

I'm going to the Market Square Buyers Cash & Carry in Madison on the 9th...are you????

Wishing you a very happy new year. I love to follow your posts and I think that I will be leaving my snowmen out for the winter. Everything seems so dark without the twinkling lights. We burnt our Christmas tree yesterday :( gone for another year.Blessings ~Sara

Ha!!! So you're the one who beat me to Pam's awesome basket!! And I covet Mary's hand-dones too... Boo Hoo.... (Seriously awesome display....) I fear our relentless season of winter has begun - we've had snow the past 3 days (or is it 4 now?) and howling blustery winds. Think it's going to be a long, long, winter.....It still Christmas in my heart - and my home.....hang on needles.....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
