Off to watch my boys play Softball!!!

Today started out great!! Sunshine, off to watch our Nephew and his wife christen their first child.... So Spring has started, well so they say and it's the first softball game of the season...
But, now, clouds, wind is picking up, turning cooler, AGAIN! UGH! I am going to freeze my butt off! Must go, keep score.... Truly it doesn't happen often throughout the whole season that both Alex and Steven get to play along side hubby... It's so much fun to watch the boys now old enough to come out and play with their dads! Helps the old guys out to have some young blood too! So as their walking out the door...STOP!! quick picture please... HUBBY.. always in a hurry first game day, WELL HURRY UP!!! Must get to the field more then a hour before game time! LOL...
So I get one nice picture...Suppose I should be grateful for that....

Because, next I get this... Steven always the clown.....

Then starts Alex, with the "cup" check....LOL

Then give me a back shot with the numbers.... Alex, future Mr. Policeman decide so give them pat downs.....Ok...before the questions start on Alex's #...Yes, I know.... Believe it or not that was his football # given to him when he was 12 years old.... Image this if you can, as they make a big deal when the jersey's get pasted out...all the parents there...mostly dads.... They call Alex and yell his number....THEN... all the dad's start laughing... Alex looking puzzled to why???? Nice uh? I'm off to the President of the football league, what the HE** are you giving a 12 year old boy that # for... high school doesn't even give out that number.... Well... egg on my face our high school did give out that # and how Alex fought, but lost to get it....So of course that he's older it's his "number"... oh to be the mom of boys!! Off to watch softball and freeze! OLM

Oh, I remember those cold spring days on the baseball diamond watching my middle son play...it takes a dedicated mom to sit there and lots of blankets too! Hope you had fun. It was grey here all day...now some more rain but that will just make for lovelier flowers.
